Migration from op77b to Kp 400 comfort

dear expert 

I need support , when I make migration from op77b to Kp 400 comfort ,the arrows keys that navigate between pages become not activate ,although , when I check a program after migration it has event in program

Revise this assignment.

 Hey Guys, 

So I am posting on this thread as I wanted to write the same title.

My problem is just before this step. I have the siemens MPI to usb adapter and tried to connect directly to the HMI to transfer the program, but it didn t work. My only option was to backup on a siemens MMC card. However I do not have a card reader. So now I have inserted the MMC in the KP400 but I need to migrate the backup first, edit it and then transfer to the HMI. 
Is there a way to read the MMC card in the HMI? 
If the OP77B,which is connected by MPI, connects to the CPU, Why can t I access the HMI on prosafe and Tia portal.

What would you suggest as best practice to read the data from the OP77B or MMC card so I can migrate, update and transfer it to the KP400.

I recommend for first download OP77B manual, you can easy check web for pdf of this one type or familly if it is available like that. There is clear info what possibilities you jave with transfer program to OP77B. You can easy do that via RS232 or USB as help provides clear description, also cables pin assigment in case you need built one for you. I don't expect your USB to MPI Gateway as working with transfer procedure here, you need use  recommended cables as manual shows. Migration of backup? What backup? If yo mean from Prosave, no chance probbaly, this is only image of OP and can be used as download to same OP type as for replace procedure f.ex. For migration you need to do that with your OP project created via Tia portal probably but it depends where this project was prepared, via which SW.

Just one tip for download project to OP77B. You need check OP menu under settings where is clear option about used comm channel and also download, cfg of port and settings like speed and address in case. Then you can set it via menu to Transfer option and initiate download procedure to OP77B. This menu is available some seconds after turn ON OP panel and then it starts to prj load in case you don't do any keyboard options/move.
