k.k Posts: 40 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, We using ET 200s(6ES7 138-4DF11-0AB0) Modbus module as slave device , I configured all the parameters, in the programming part I created S_MODB block in the( OB1 )cyclicprogramme and also I created oneDB100 for Data conversion Slave Device Task is to do only read and wirte the few Memory bits(M)( Read Three Binary bits from master device & write Three Binary bits to master device ) so how to declare and configure this taskin the step 7 to get work fine. k.k Posts: 40 Rating: (0)	Dear all, I am new to the ET200S Modbus communication. We have 6ES7138-4DF11-0AB0 Serial Interface Modbus module with ET200S IM 158 CPU . We have to Configure the Modbus module as a slave Device for Receiving and transmitting the signals to CCR room which has Master S7-400 PLC,in ET200S CPU with slave modulei configured slave address andparameters,what are the Programming procedure to be done and any functional blocks to be use in the slave side PLC ? If refered the example programme itrepresents written for Modbus master module so for slave operation any example programme is there. The signals for communiction is few binary signals ( For slave device 3 binary inputs and 3 binary outputs only ). how to tell & receive the signals from the master ? As per Manual in the 3.6 Chapter for the slave part i understand that we have create S_MODB function block and function code to be use in the cyclic programme. In our application in the slave part we have to send 3 Binary signals to Master ( Eg Address , M200.0,m200.1 & M 200.2 or Any DB Binary address ) and 3 Binary signals we have to receive from the master so howto define these signals in the programme to map the modbus address and how use the Data conversion table for binary signals. Pls send me if u have any modbus slave backup programme or if have any screen shot procedure for slave part Thanks & Regards KK

fritz Diamond Expert Joined: 10/7/2005 Last visit: 9/11/2024 Posts: 3020 Rating: (1054)	Hello k.k you should already have an example Modbus Slave program for the ET200S 1SI module in the "Sample projects" tab of the "Open Projects" window in Simatic Manager (from memory this is installed when you install the PtP configuration package, but don't quote me on that). Anyway, ifyou don't have it, you can get it together with the latest FB versions from the link below: Function Blocks, Examples and User Manuals for the Serial Interface Module ET200S 1SI Apart from that, I encourage you to have a good and quiet read of the manual that Wizardprovided you with. It is very detailed and has (should have) all the info you need. Having said that, a general understanding of Modbus and its Function codes does help too and you'll find plenty of helpful material at http://www.modbus.org/. Last but not least, Modbus related question appear quite frequently on the Siemens Forum, just in case you haven't done so already you canfind them - together withFAQ's - with a search at https://support.automation.siemens.com. As per the Manual for slave part i understand that we have to create s_modb FB81 in cyclic programme and Data conversion table but I am not get clear info where modbus data's will be stored for communication&how to define ?, Holding registersis used for reading and writing the Data's between master and slave, in slave side we have to check the Data'susing Modscan tool wheaher slave is communicating or not .... Pls reply the procedure for et200s modus slave programming. Thanks & Regards KK

Thanks & Regards KK __-------------------------------------------- dear kk i have got the same problem like you......we Have at least 7 CCR(MCR3 product by ADB) and one CPU 315 pn/2dp plus 2 cp341...... i have studied thall the ralated manuals, but i cannot undertand how can we send the different steps of brightness for each CCR....would you please guide me with an example...... best regards soroosh
