MODBUSCP: Error A095

Brice_68 Posts: 6 Rating: (1)	Hello I try to etablish a connexion beetween a CP 443-1 and a Socomec DIRIS A40 in Modbus TCP protocol. The block MODBUSCP send me an error: A095. (ie an "exeption telegram") I don't understand where this kind of error can come from. I use the following parameters: DATA TYPE : W#16#3 START ADRESS : W#16#C552 LENGTH : W#16#20 What could be the problem? (I still not have the licence, but I've read that it is not a problem for testing?) Thanks for your help Regards

The start address 16#C552 (which is 50518 in decimal) belongs to the range of the extended registers. The 'normal' registers start at 40001 and end at 49999. Are you sure that the Socomec server allows to access this registers? Many servers do not support this kind of access. Regards Sakura

So probably MODBUSCP client and the Socomec server aren't compatible. Maybe you can find something about this in the documentation of the server? Regards Sakura

Does the manual say anything about manually setting the protocoll you want to use? I know it from other devices that support different kind of protocols, that you have to set it in the communication properties which protocol should be active. Can you see any errorcodes at the server that gives more information about what happened?

Brice_68 Posts: 6 Rating: (1)	So I found how they make difference beetween the 2 protocols: Modbus TCP is used on port 502. Modbus RTU on port 503. You'll find enclosed my net-pro configuration, is it ok? There is no communication diagnostic on the DIRIS module. Attachment net-pro.jpg (530 Downloads)

Brice_68 Posts: 6 Rating: (1)	Ok I finally find my mistake. It was due to the offset adress. I tried to read an adress who do not exist in my module. Thanks for your help Sakura!
