And more important, has Siemens got any modules that can handle this? I use a S7 300 PLC. Thanks a lot! Ton

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 11/7/2024 Posts: 12293 Rating: (2691)	Hello Ton; Johnson Controls Metasys N2 serial protocol is used in HVAC applications, to connect a ontroller with fan drives, dampers, energy meters, etc.... I believe some Siemens Building Automation lines support the protocol (I believe Desigo has a module for that) but that would not help you at this point. I would look for some kind of gateway for this project. I have used Fieldserver in certain projects (www.fieldserver.com), they offer selectable protocol gateways; they mention N2-Profibus-DP converters, or N2-Modbus onm the website.
