Need default username/ password

 Hi CJ,

We have a similar project architecture, (DesigoCC in the cloud to communicate on-prem Bacnet devices) therefore we adopt PXG3.M as BBMD. While we are trying to configure it, we cannot find any default username/password (Web UI). Though it seems a stupid question, please kindly help. Thanks!

We've done something similar in the past to your set up. However, we installed a PXG3.M on site to handle the comms. The PXC controllers do not support NAT or internal port forwarding, hence the reason to fit the PXG3.M on site. The PXG3.M would then also become the BBMD. The datasheet for the PXG3.M / PXG3.L routers provides details on the additional networking capabilities.

In the PXG3.M, we enabled FDT and BDT, and also configured the NAT IP address. The NAT address in this case is the public-facing (internet) IP address of the site 4G router. We also configured an additional BACnet port in the PXG3.M, i.e. the original port uses 47808, and the additional port uses 47809. In the site 4G router settings, we configured port forwarding to forward from 47809-incoming to 47809-local. The PXG3.M then sees the incoming traffic on 47809, and forwards it to 47808 where the PX controllers actually sit. 

When connecting from XWorks or CC, the IP address we connect to is the NAT IP address that is set in the PXG3.M, and the port is 47809. (As the sites connected to a remote Desigo CC system, we also added the NAT IP address for the CC-end into the BDT table located in the PXG3.M).

I'm not saying this is your solution, it's one example of the setup types available. Have you spoken with your local Siemens Technical Support people to ask them for more advice?

BBMD devices allow the transfer of BACnet information between PX Controllers / Desigo CC on different IP segments. The BBMD function must be enabled on one Ethernet device per IP segment, and the table in each BBMDs must include all the IP addresses of the other BBMDs.

FDT allows the remote connection of Desigo Insight or 3rd party BACnet devices (that are unable to act as BBMDs) from different network IP segments. The FDT function must be enabled on one Ethernet device per IP segment.
