newbie problem, help please

malkawi Posts: 35 Rating: (0)	Hello there im using s7-1200 with HMI screen, AC/DC/Relay im getting the output led going green when it is supposed to, i fed +24V to 1L, but the relay which is programed as NO is acting strangly, first when the LED is green i got 24V at output1, then when it went back to normal, i got zero, so that was fine, but later i got solid 24v irrespective if the contact was open or colsed. and later i got zero volt irrespective if the contact was open or colsed. can any1 advice where or what to check

I must say these devices with their on-device legends are highly confusing and not easy to glance and understand. I've had several installations where one module is wired correctly and the next module is wired 1/2 right, and another wired completely wrong. In your PLC, use one of the system byte clock pulses to toggle the output for testing. Watch the output LED to ensure you know your code is working. Then go to the output you think should be switching and measure between that terminal and common for your 24V. It should toggle with your LED. If not, you are looking at the wrong terminal. You should find the problem very quickly.
