Hello Ejaz; Besides the information that Umencho points to, the Y-Link presents an interface to the DP redundant masters that can have a maximum of 244 bytes OUT/244 bytes IN. Each Simeas P can have one of 4 different cyclic exchange tables with the master: -Basic type 1:16 bytes (Status + 3 datablocks) -Basic type 2: 28 bytes (Status + 6 datablocks) -Basic type 3: 52 bytes (Status + 12 datablocks) -Basic type 4::132 bytes (Status +32 datablocks) The contents of datablocks and the structure of the Status wordare explained in the attached document. So, based on the amount of data required in the exchanges, you will be able to connect a greater/lesser number of Simeas P units to a Y-link. If you select Basic type 3, for example, you will be able to connect (244/52)= 4 units to a Y-link; if you select Basic type 1, then up to 15 units can be hooked up to a Y-Link. Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier AttachmentSIMEAS_P_manual_Profibus_V02.pdf (220 Downloads) |
