Pass thru of ANY POINTER from multi FB IN instance to Put/Get FB14/15 Address INOUT

Hello everybody.

I`m trying to make an FB (multi instance) to handle Put/Get FB`s 14/15 for communicating with different PLC`s on a network.
Everything works fine except the pass thru of the Any Pointer from the FB call instance IN to the INOUT at the FB14/15 (ADDR_1 and RD/SD1).
Apparently its not possible to direct pass thru an Any pointer to the FB14/15.
Trying that gives the error
"constant format for data type Pointer does not fit the formal parameter ADDR_1". (The IN is declared as datatype ANY).

After searching the forum/internet for quite a while the closest thing I come to a solution is to rebuild the Any Pointer to the TEMP area inside the FB and declare it as a STRUCT with 10 bytes.

The Put/Get accepts this Struct as a INOUT ANY, but the result of communicating with PLC on the network is Error code W#16#4 ("Errors in the receive area pointers RD_i involving the data length or the data type").

When entering the Any Pointer direct to put/get like P#DB1.DBX44.0 Byte 40 communication work fine.

I guess its the building of the Any Pointer to Struct that makes the wrong data lenght/type.
I have run out of ideas of how to complete this task.
If anybody have a solution (thats not to complicated ;-) ) I would be grateful

What happens when you change the entry point from IN to IN-OUT, for the original plan you had. Perhaps show an image of that situation.

Aside to that..
Rebuilding the ANY into its structural components is best done in SCL where the AT-overlay method is possible (for the S7-300 / S7-400).

I get the same error message, will not accept the data type.

If possible I will prefer to not use SCL (little or non-experience, but if it’s the best option then maby I will give it a try.

Look at the attached image. The ANY pointer description on the input is copied over onto temporary storage. Then it is used in the PUT instruction. You will have to test if it works though.

Didn’t think of using sfc20 to move the structure of the Any Pointer to the local temp storage.

I will take a look at the SCL reference and test it later, will probably come in handy to have knowledge of that.
