Dear PilotPM, "PID Self Tuner" package is intended to help automation engineers to evaluate process model and use optimized PI or PID parameters. You can find the range of product here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/10805417/133200 and the manuals here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/10805417/133300 and sample examples here: PID Self Tuner: Example Adapted to Standard PID Control V5.1 Please read the manual carefully before even ordering the product. It is not really difficult to use but it is really tricky. If you follow the provided samples,CPU set the Tuner to manual. For the first optimization you set "Man_on" to "False" and "Adapt1st" to "True".Select proper set point and wait until the set point reached and analyze the parameters if they are satisfactory.Further optimization is possible by using "Adapt_on". Hope this helps Best regards, Hamid Hosseini |
