PN/PN Coupler with X2 Outside of project

To test, I connected a second PLC and communication worked in both directions. Then I removed the second PLC from the project and set X2 as Outside of project. Now, after loading the project into the PLC, I have the error: Net configuration error - Difference between nets at slot 1 PNPN Coupler / PNPN Coupler.X1. Should I do anything else? sancruz Gold Expert Joined: 3/11/2019 Last visit: 10/31/2024 Posts: 1651 Rating: (302)	HI Kristof74, important for the PN/PN coupler is, the other side can be outside of the project -but- another controller on X2 including a valid configuraiton on this side is mandatory! Just removing the other PLC and leaving X2 open does not work. So question is: Is X2 configured in another systen including a PROFINET controller and is his side also connected? SIMATIC Bus links PN/PN coupler You have completely configured and connected the PN/PN Coupler as described in sections Assembling and Connecting. You have completely set up both PROFINET IO subnets. PROFINET IO is ready for operation. You have configured the PN/PN Coupler. You have assigned the PN/PN Coupler parameters. regards sancruz

It remained there after communication tests, successful tests. It is now supposed to simulate some other network that I know nothing about. Likewise, it worked until I removed the controller on the X2 from the project and changed it to Outside of project
