problem using tia portal

MINKU Posts: 36 Rating: (0)	hello i am in very big problem i am using tia portal to program cpu 315 2pn/dp but the manuals are not helping me to start with tia portal, i am new to all this even i dnt have knowledge of how to use timers,counters to progam 315. i have used cpu224 and i did programming for that but tia is too tough to make even simple program, even the help of tia the 'information systems' does'nt help. please help me to start programming with some application program or with some detailed manuals for how to use timers etc,i will be very thankful to you. with regards

Generate a new block (example FC) and insert per Drag&Drop a timer (example "S_IMPULS") from the Basic instruction in the program editor. Mark with the coursor this modul and use the "F1"-bottom. So you will see the online help for programming and assign the parameters for this timer. MINKU Posts: 36 Rating: (0)	thank you for your help but i know how to use help of tia portal,actually i am new to tia as well as 315 2pn/dp cpu. Earlier i did programming on cpu224 , and i am comfortable on it the manuals of 200 and help of 200 is superb and recently i have purchased tia and cpu 315 2pn/dp and expecting same type of manuals and help in TIA, but i did'nt get it, i have all the manuals for this bt yet it did'nt work. I am not able to start my project work on this new system. please help me thanks and regards

But the programming methode in TIA Portal is the same as by the conventional STEP 7 tools. If you have programmed STEP 7 projects, you can also migrate these projects in the TIA Portal.
