Protocol IEC 60870-5-104

Hi,

I need to implement a litle solution for telecontrol with an cpu 1200 ans using an cp module to transfer data to an RTU500 of third party supplier. My question is, 6GK7243-1BX30-0XE0 support the protocol IEC60780-5-104.

I would appreciate any help.

 Yes it does, I have use it couple of times, everything is done from hardware configuration, you don't need even to program anything regarding protocol. It is great module! Be aware that S7 1200 with this CP operates as a IEC substation (slave), so other side need to support master. In the case you need to be master, I would go with ET200SP and Siplus RIC S7 memory card which comes with all necessary Function Blocks to be able working as Master or Slave.
