Pulse train output from 314C-2DP

Vkart Posts: 25 Rating: (3)	Dear all, How can i generate pulses of fixed frequency from a 314c-2DP CPU? Is there any simple function block for generating the pulse of 2khz, 5 khz etc?? Similarly in S7 200, The PTO/PWM wizard allows usto enter the MAX_Speed and MIN_Speed only. Where do we enter that we need a pulse of 5 khz etc?? Awaiting for reply. Vkart

See the FAQ Decentralized output of variables with the 2PULSE module on ET200S and the handbook Technological Functions ET 200S When you want to do it on your own, then consider that this is not so accurate as a hardware module. If you use a time-OB (OB35) then you can switch every 5mS when the OB35 is placed on that time (the rest of the program will be getting trouble when you want to do other things also fast. Then you have to make in steps of 5mS some programming that is making what you want. Also with the CPU 314C is some possible, see the handbook S7-300 Automation System CPU 31xC Technological Functions please see also under info on the right where some examples are placed of the technologic features of the CPU 31xC.

Under the hardware configuration of PWM in314C-2DP, i can enter only the pulse period and the minimum pulse duration. If i want to get a pulse train of 1K, 1.5K, and 2K then what i should define at the pulse period and the minimum pulse duration?? If the frequency is settable with the help of hardware configuration itself then what is the necessity of the input parameter OUTPUT_Val in SFB 49?? Please clarify. VKart
