Question about profinet

Kumsty Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Hi experts and everyone I have simple question for you. Can I define which device will be communicate with PLC? Explanation: My project is builded at platform ET200s and we will have 3 containers. In middle container will be placed IM151-8 CPU and we want to connect it with others containers where will be placed IM151-3s. But we do not always need to connect all. And I want make a selection of containers which we will need to connect. I understand if I dont connect someone of IM151-3s, PLC will make a system fault and PLC will continue to run. But is it possible without SF? Over some OB? Thanks for response. I will take anything. Regards

Pittiplatsch Posts: 1368 Rating: (128)	Hello Wizard, with "D_ACT_DP"instruction you can specifically deactivate and reactivate configured PROFINET IO devices. In addition, you can determine whether each assigned PROFINET IO device is currently activated or deactivated. But please note: "D_ACT_DP" works asynchronously, that is, its execution extends over multiple calls. You start the job by calling D_ACT_DP with REQ = 1. Greetings, Pittiplatsch

Kumsty Posts: 18 Rating: (0)	Okey guys...thank you very much. I read "HELP" for D_ACT_DP and I think it will works. Only one more question. The parametr LADDR...Which address i need to use (it is a WORD type varialbe)? I have to use "device number" from properties of PN port as the address?
