question about soft starter

Dear sirs,

I have one question about soft starter SIRIUS. I have a tank truck with a centrifugal pump, this truck discharge in different customers and there is customers with power supply of 3 phase 230 v and others 3 phase 400 v.

The pump have a motor of 22 kw

                                              230 delta - 400 star

                                               70A - 40A

I have a soft starter of 85A, who runs in delta or star mode, depending of the power supply of the customer (it have a volt relay who made the connection in delta or in star), when is working in delta mode the soft starter protects the motor, and when works in star mode it haven't a good protection. My question is:

Can I use a thermic relay under the soft starter of 40A to protect this?

better use two seperate oft starter ,one for delta and one for star beacuse they should have itself independence parameter
