Question about timer

I have project where are using all PLC timer 256 and for me need more timer. I found information about sfb2, sfb3 and sfb4. My question is, when I want use sfb function every time need create  different DB?

The other is using so-called multi-instance (in case of Simatic Manager, for TIA interface is somewhat different).

I am using step 5.6 sofware and want use sfb03, sfb04 and sfb05 system function  blocks. Is allways need create different data base when I want use SFB03, SFB4 or SFB05?

 If you want to use IEC timers, you need to have an instance for them. If you are using it inside a FB, then you can declare a tag in the STAT area of the block with data type TON. You you wish to use it in a FC, then you have might want to create a DB with as many TON data type tags as you need. Then you can use those for the instance of IEC timers.
