manivannan Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Dear all I have two S7-300 cpu of MLB NO. 64S7315-2AG10-0AB0 (V2.6.6) MEMORY 64MB and64S7315-2AG10-0AB0 (V2.0.12) MEMORY 64MB.CPU will work for "R" System ? MLB no. and memorys are same for both CPU only versions are different. Guide me pls. Regards Manivannan

dchartier Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 9/27/2006 Last visit: 11/11/2024 Posts: 12293 Rating: (2691)	Hello manivannan; Software Redundancy (the only type available for S7-300 CPUs) does not really care about levels and versions of CPUs used in the redundant system. You could ieven mplement it with a S7-300 PLC and a S7-400 PLC. The important things you must be aware of are: -the communication interface selected for the redundant link between the CPUs; -the correct setup of the communication and redundancy function blocks required; -the configuration of the redundant I/O used in the application. You can look at the manual for Software redundancy here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1137637 The part number for the Software Redundancy license is 6ES7862-0AC01-0YA0.
