Dear All, My task is to read data (measure weight) from a SIWAREX WL250 load cell which has an output of 3.0029 mV/V and recommended reference voltage 5...12V DC. I am using a power supply of 24V and an ET200 SP with a CPU 1512SP-1PN and an AI module AI 2xSG-4-/6wire HS which has a measuring range from +/- 0.5 ... 320 mV/V and is designed for load cell systems as far as I read from the manual, also it says it has a 28 bit (normal/isochronous mode), 16 bits (oversampling) . I have the load cell connected to the AI module. I am trying to normalize the value with NORM_X Block with MIN 0 to 27648 and then trying to scale it SCALE_X from 0-1000 (which is the maximum load of the load cell), but I am not getting real data and it is important to mention that I am getting 5/6 as an offset when there is no load applied to the sensor (load cell). I want to know if I should use an amplifier even though it does not make sense to use an amplifier when my analog module is specifically made for load cell measurements. Am I using the correct value (27648) for the NORM_X? Can you tell me if I am using the correct measuring system for the load cell and more about how I can get the correct value according to the weight I put on it? Thank you in advance. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |

Closed cause question posted twice. The second thread with the subject How to read analog values from SIWAREX Load cell WL250 with module AI 2xSG 4-6wire HS is published within the conference Process Instrumentation / Analytics / Weighing Systems SIWAREX. Best regards, |
