Hello chilibangcarne, There are 2 possibilities for what you want to achieve. 1- You can evaluate the starting information (1st 20 bytes in local data) oferror organization blocks. In this case you will know what is going wrong when something wrong happens. Which organization blocks do you need for error handling? After deciding which OB you are going to evaluate its data, you should read the help of this OB to understand the meanings and codes of each byte of the 20. 2- You can use SFC51 to diagnose any part of your PLC system at any time you want. To know more about SFC51 you should either use F1 in SIMATIC Manager or read about it directly in System Software for S7-300/400 System and Standard Functions manual. There are some other SFCs you may like to read about like SFC13 and SFC59. You can check the example of reading CPU's LED status in Ladder programming examples (LAD). Another example is How is a DP slave's diagnostic data read out with SFC 51 "RDSYSST" (with an integrated DP interface on the CPU as the DP master)? I also recommend to write SFC51 in search box so you can know more about it. Best regards. H-H |
