Hi mory Yes you are correct that you can't connect a PCS7 channel driver to a ProfiBus DP slave address that is not an ET200 IO card. You need to use FbDrive (FB1905) from the APL library or create your own interface manually. I've used Altivair drives on a couple projects and find that creating my own interface in SCL is better than using FbDrive block because of the supported message frame interactions: FbDrive supports only message/telegram 1 and 20. Altivair drives with the ProfiBus module support telegrams 1, 101, 102, 106, and 107. I contacted Schneider about support of telegram 20 in their product, but they didn't seem to care or have any plans to do so. If you only need command/status word and ref/speed then you can use telegram 1 and FbDrive. Typically our customers want to see drive amps and some other information from the drive, so we use telegram 102 which supports the same base as telegram 1, but contains a total of 6 PZD, leaving 4 PZD for free configuration. I have created a custom block in SCL to handle the interface based on the custom configuration of the VFD for the extra 4 PZD data to be shared in those cases. |
