Hello, In my opinion, teh IM153-3 is not available anymore (since 2001). See http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/6447289 Redundant solutions use IM153-2 today. |

Hello Aym; Your description of the problem does not refer to redundancy, but to "Change module under operation" (Hotswap) functions. But this requires active bus modules in the IM 153-2 hardware, and the functions themselves are only supported by a S7-400 master, or a S7-300 Profibus module (CP 342-5); see the specifics here: http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/186963 http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/en/1826766 If you are using a CP 56xx as master, what do you plan to use as software/drivers behind it? You will have to handle the interrupt messages by yourself in this case. Hope this helps, Daniwel Chartier |
