jjh5791 Posts: 11 Rating: (3)	Hi Sarabjot, Are you using TIA Portal V11 for your PLC? If so, you can use the Data Logging feature to write a CSV file with the tag values you want to keep track of. I have posted an example program with a FB to set up and maintain a data log here. You may need to modify it for your application, but it would be a good starting point. Again, only really useful in this case if you are already using TIA Portal V11, but should be an easy solution if you are. Best Regards

ABN Posts: 212 Rating: (12)	Hi, If you are using WinCC V7.0 onwards then there is default feature of exporting data to excel or in CSV format. Please check if its ok with you. Export button is available in WinCC Trend control. Post your comments

If you want to write tag values in file on some reasonable cyclic time trigger or on event, script that I attached in uper post will work. Just adjust it to your needs. If you need tag values on 1s or so, it is beter to use functionality provided inWinCC trend control for export values, as ABN statedabove. Best regards, VladD
