S7 1200 and ET200SModules

Arun_EEE Posts: 93 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, I have to read 10 numbers of Energy meters reading via S7 1200 CPU to Wincc Explorer V7.0. So the proposed system includes a CPU 1212C (6ES72121HE310XB0) in main PLC panel and IM151-3PN (6ES71513AA230AB0) & 1 CH SI Modbus module (6ES7 138-4DF11-0AB0) in RIo panel. The distance between these Mainpanel and RIO panel is approximately 150 meters.. Please tell me whether this system / configuration will work or not.....?

Hi, Yes it will work you communicate IM 151-3PN to 1200 no problem

Hello, According to Industrial Communication IKPI 2012 page 32 of 1796: Max. length of the electrical network between two nodes for PN and IE is 100 m. Alternatives to bridge the distance specification? w Hi, Yes correct. last week same issue post by a member and the solution was given like same. they can use one industrial switch to extend the distance beyond 100 meter
