s7-200 (cpu 224): communication error 329

Evy Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hello! I'm new here and in plc's and i would appreciate some help. I want to upload a program ons7-200 (cpu 224) from my laptop which has only usb ports. So i use a usb to series adaptor and connect it to the RS485/RS232 cable. When I try to establish a connection 329 error comes up. I tried all the ports but no one works. How can i find the plc's address? What is remote? (I read the help file but i didn't understand...) Thank you Attachment communication error.JPG (216 Downloads)

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi Evy, theGerman list price for the USB programming cable is 139€. Ther esould not be such a big different. Maybe you have payed to much in the past I have treid several USB converter in the past and have got lots of problems. I found only one with up to know no problems. This I found in a German Web-Store (www.kabelshop.net) and what a look it was the cheapest one ~15€. I think the important information is the chip-set in the converter. The one I mean has a chipset PL-2303. I hope this helps. Regards Helmut
