Hello m.shoaib khatana; There is a standard function to read different parameters and diagnostics from the PLC modules using "records": SFC 51. You will find information on the function and on the partial system status llists you need to use to get the LED status of the cPU and the serial number (a bit more complex, but you have all the information requiredin the following download: System Software for S7-300/400 System and Standard Functions Volume 1 and Volume 2 13.3 Reading a System Status List or Partial List with SFC 51 "RDSYSST" Description With system function SFC 51 "RDSYSST" (read system status), you read a system status list or apartial system status list (SSL-ID). You start the reading by assigning the value 1 to the input parameter REQ when SFC 51 is called. If the system status could be read immediately, the SFC returns the value 0 at the BUSY output parameter. If BUSY has the value 1, the read function is not yet completed. 1. SSL-ID W#16#0174 -Status of the module LEDs See pages 732-733 for the structure of the record you need tofill out in order to get the status of a specific LED. 2. SSL-ID W#16#xy1C - Component IdentificationSSL-ID W#16#011C: Identification of one component INDEX W#16#0005: Serial number of the module Data Record A data record of the partial list with SSL-ID W#16#xy1C has the following structure • INDEX = W#16#0005
Here is an example of reading out the serial number of a MMC on the CPU, not the same index or data record, but it should gibve you a good idea of what is needed to program SFC 51. How can you read out the serial number of the MMC Hope this helps, Daniel Chartier |
