s7 315 Software Redundant Diagnosis

Strongs Experienced Member Joined: 7/3/2011 Last visit: 12/26/2024 Posts: 81 Rating: (0)	Dear Experts, Now am working with s7 315-2DP Redundant system working in MPI, ET 200M profibus station-1 and WinCC connecting Ethernet (Individual CPU have CP 343). In my project am facing some problems as bellow, 1) I have created my project in PLC its working fine, After switch off both CPU and again on the CPU -2 (PLC-B) is active first. How its changed i cant understand. I read the related softaware manual (S7-300/S7-400Software redundancy forSIMATIC S7) mentioned following functionality should be checked A). Read the status word from sation A (DB5.DBW8). The value 1000 0000 0000 0101 should be displayed. Meaning: The station is subunit A and master; all DP slaves can be addressed. B). Read the status word from station B (DB5.DBW8): The value 1000 0000 0000 0101 should be displayed. Meaning: The station is subunit B and standby; all DP slaves can be addressed. But I have received different value from both CPUs i have attached here my VAT... I wants now how to mention PLC-A is a master. 2) IF CPU-2 is active condition the communication between WINCC its working fine. All variable can able to read and set the bits using button function also ok. If i put CPU B in stop mode , The ET-200m changed ok and wincc tag variable reading values are also ok, but i could not able to set the bits using button function also using global vb script (Using for reporting function). I have createed theRedundant connections in dynamic wizard as per the manual, also i have checked the same problem faqs but there is no answer, Please give me the solution as soon as eariler, Here I have attched VAT table diagnostics details received from the PLCs Regards RSK Attachment New folder.zip (221 Downloads)

Jazz_M Gold Member Joined: 9/6/2008 Last visit: 5/7/2022 Posts: 1121 Rating: (86)	Hi Well there is no program for R System, program can vary from application wise. if you have a project in R system then please take care of the following mistakes that are commonly done 1. No S5 timers can be used. 2. It is best if you avoid using of memory bit 3. have a consistent program that FC should be continous. 4. declare the redudant and non redudant program in a separate FC. 5. While using the DB, please take care that you do not have empty DB as it can lead to problem. i.e the size should be greater than 75 bytes. The DB numbering and usage should be continous. These are the common mistake that user make. Best of luck for your project. Have fun....
