S7300 with profinet to modbus convertor(ADFweb HD67602)

Hello All

My small project uses S7300, ADFweb HD67602 converter, OMRON e5gc-rx1a6m with modbus RS485 communication. I want to read data from E5GC (temperature) but nothing appears on TIA project watch_table. All network configuration set properly on profinet and modbus. Technical Support from ADFweb said profinet io 's will appear on watch_table but there is only zero. Is there anyone experience like this project. Please help me.

it is your protocol converter problem with cfg probably. If you want help, you can also give here link to manual (PDF). Hope someone then can point you to solution. In other side, I expect you need config that Converter and this can be not easy. Did you configure it as is inside manual? What setting you did there? ZIP screenshots also from your S7 cfg about PN and also from cfg of Adapter. What you set especially about Modbus conversion? Pls explain also this because you can have maybe correct HW cfg but parameters about Modbus RTU can be problem.

I hope you realize that troubleshooting a gateway is always more complex than a direct connection from the PLC (setup as a Modbus master, for example).

Let's say that your configuration of the ADFweb station is correct, your Profinet parameters are registered, your Modbus parameters have been all setup properly with the OMRON slave; what addresses (Modbus) in the slave are you using to read the temperature values from? If these are incorrect, even if the whole communication link is perfect, your watch table will come up empty (or with values 0).

So you have to check:

- the Profinet side of the gateway (IP address and Profinet name of the device)

-the Modbus master side of the gateway (address of the Modbus master and slave, communication parameters, RS 485 wiring)

- the Modbus addressing of the values you want to read in the Omron slave

First, what LEDs are active on the gateway, the S7 PLC and the Omron slave? Do no simply state that none are active, some of them are designed to be lit whjen the units are active. Some provide diagnostic information, which is what we are looking for.

Second, how have you configured the communication links in your project? For the gateway, screenshots of your Compositor software settings would be useful.

The ADFweb manual has a section on Modbus diagnostics (and advanced functions) and a chapter on PLC configuration, shown with TIA Portal. Is there any information there that can be helpful to troubleshoot your problem?

If you want to show us your project information, since you cannot attach more than one screeshot per post, I suggest you collect them in a Word or pdf document and attach that to the next post in this thread.
