Save Analog Offset in Encoder Memory

FernandoRosette Joined: 10/5/2022 Last visit: 10/8/2024 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Hi guys, I'm testing several servo-motors (encoders and resolvers) and I´m using the Pole Position Identification Routine to correctly align them using the Motion-Based Procedure. (I´m using STARTER) Once the P1990 is set to 1, and I run the Commissioning, the P0431 "Angular Commutation Offset" is set automatically. I want to know if there is a way I can save this Offset Angle to the Encoder Memory, not to the Drive. Thanks Fernando

FernandoRosette Joined: 10/5/2022 Last visit: 10/8/2024 Posts: 2 Rating: (0)	Thanks for the answer, this raises another question, what happens if, for any reason, the encoder is mis-aligned, I thought that I can re-align the encoder using the pole position identification routine (with the offset angle), but, if the offset angle is not "saved" in the encoder memory, do I have to re-align the encoder mechanically?
