После установки выходит такая ошибка: the application has failed to start side-by-side configuration is incorrect. see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail. Translation by MOderator: Help! Problem: installed TIA V14 SP1 (originally stood TIA V14 upd2). After installation, the following error occurs: the application has failed to start the side-by-side configuration is incorrect. See the application event or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Split from TIA Portal V13 fails to start - side-by-side configuration error.

I updated all my packages to SP1 (Step7, WinCC, Safety) and the message pop up , so i had to edit the sidebyside config file to solfe the problem on my system. Regards Christoph

Removed WinCC7.4 and sqlserver instance : NOK Installed latest C++ distributables ( 2017 x86 and x64) : NOK Then did see that 'Siemens.Automation.SideBySide.manifest' does not exist in C:\Program Files\SIEMENS\Automation\Portal V15\Bin I then JUST copied the one from V14 en sitopresto ALL working Eric

Mr.Gubin Posts: 1 Rating: (1)	I had an identical error. Only program TIA v16. I didn't have a file "Siemens.Automation.SideBySide.manifest" in the directory C:\Programme\Siemens\Automation\Tia Portal V16. I solved this problem like this: Opened the directory and moved this file from version 15 to the root of the bin folder of version 16.
