Simotion Basics

Dear All,

I am very new to Simotion Section. I would Like to learn simotion from Basics. Fro that,

1. Where we should use Simotion ?. [Importance of Simotion technology from CNC and motion techniques]

2. Where should i start ? Any basic docs,links  will help me to start to learn Simotion. I am having controller Simotion D 435 2DP/PN.

Hi.

1. Where other solutions fail or become too complicated to handle or too expensive or customer demand. Or because you just like it.

2. I'd say that you should start from same trainings at Siemens or their partners if you wanted to start learn something useful fast. Docs on Simotion and Sinamics are overhelming. So you will spend hours to find single piece of information you need right now.

I totally concur with the training....

Save yourself a lot of time and aggravation by either:

- taking a training class
- buying lots of beer for someone you know who has SIMOTION experience

SIMOTION is an excellent high speed automation platform, but it is not the easiest thing to work with.  I wish I had done either of the above which would have saved me weeks of frustration and fixing several walls I punched holes in.
