Sinumeric 810 ownloading /uploading parameters with winpcin

dear chutia,

please use a serial cable, please find the cable connections in the attachment.(use 9pin both side)

connect the cable to 9-pin rs232 port on pcu20 or pcu50 (which ever you have), this is com port 2 for the controller.

here is the procedure :-
1. select menu button.
2. now select start up.
3. set the pass word to higher level.
4. select menu button.
5. select services soft key.
6. now select the soft key "INTERFACE OR SET" - the right most softkey.
here set the parameters for data transfer.
com port : 2 (as using 9 -pin connector)
baud rate : 19200
parity : none.
data bits : 8
stop bits: 1.
format: binary (start up data)
text (part program, sub programs)
7. select ok.
8. if you need to transfer data into control, select data in other wise data out.
9.on computer open winpcin, select the correct com port on your com port.
10. set the baud rate and other settings similar to the control settings.
11. select recieve data to recieve data from control other wise send data.
12. after this select rs232 -- start soft key on the controller.

now data can be transfered......

I have a sinumerik 810D and I want to perform the procedure you have told above, but I have 2 questions :

first , the 9-pin port I should connect my cable to , where is exactly located, I attached an image of my control board, so would you please locate the right port for communication?

second , I have 10 files which the machine maker has sent to me as backups, but I do not know which one should I send to the controller, I also attached a screen shot of my files , which one do you think is the full backup for sending to controller?
