smart client password

Goodas Posts: 37 Rating: (0)	I am setting up a pc to run smart client, the server connection is established but then a password is required. Where does this password originate from? thought is was in SMTP settings under device settings in winncc project, having changed, saved and downloaded this password does not allow entry to smart server. Any help please.

Murof Platinum Expert Joined: 8/3/2009 Last visit: 1/24/2025 Posts: 14651 Rating: (1826)	Hi Goodas Go To the Control Panel of the Panelor when you use a Runtime in the Win control Panel-> WinCC Internet Settings Here you can edit all the settings of your Online Funtions like Webserver or Sm@rtServer. For SmartServer go to Tab -> Remote For Webserver Pages go to Tag-> Webserver you have to set this settings in the Runtime Systems you cannot set it in Project. -> Be careful only the "old" Panels with WinCC flexible have the Default Password 100. -> At the New comfort Panels you have to set a Password because the 100 is not automatically in Work. Bye Murof
