Starter Access G120 PB via S7-1200

PC is connected via Ethernet/profinet to S7-1215 (FW 3.0). S7-1200 has PB master module G-120's are connected via PB to S7-1215 Can I use the s7-1215 as a gateway device for starter? If so, how? If not, what options? I do have a CP PCI-express PBcard, but I do not want 2 masters on the same PB network!

0_Einstein Diamond Member Joined: 7/7/2010 Last visit: 11/19/2024 Posts: 15406 Rating: (2446)	As it turns out, with Portal V13, the proper drivers to use my CP-5621 in win7-64 was installed. After installing starter 4.4, converting my starter 4.2 project, and configuring pg/pc for starter, was able to go online with the drives and also get online with s7-1215 using portal v13. PLC - profinet Drives - profibus to both PC / starter and PLC / PB master comm module

In TIAP get the Subnet ID of the PROFIBUS (right-klick on the bus > properties), see picture 1 In Starter klick on "Set S7Online address" of the SINAMICS (right-klick on the SINAMICS > properties), see picture 2 In "Module Address" enterthe ID at S7 subnetID and enter the IP of theS7-1200, see picture 3 This worked with a S7-300 CPU, I expect it will work for S7-1200 too. ChristophD Grandmaster-Expert Joined: 5/12/2006 Last visit: 11/18/2024 Posts: 22453 Rating: (3030)	Hi, the S7-1200 + CP1243-5 doesn't support the DataSet Routing, so no Gateway possible. The only way is the PROFIBUS Connection to the Cp directly from the PC . In the PG/PC settings you must not set the Option "PG is Master" because this option you need only if you connect the pc only to the drive without a plc/CP as master. Regards Christoph

I make settings how explained in help and post in this topic, but can't get connection.In assable nodes i see cpu. What also need to do in HW config? Attachment rout.zip (338 Downloads)

If you start "accessible nodes" in starter and the PLC is found can you expand the Three and navigate to the Profibus and show if the drives are found? Regards Christoph

Regards Christoph I use Simotion Scout 4.4.0.2 Version of drive in project 4.6, but it can be upgrade to 4.7.6. How i can expand the Three?It just found plc,pc and roters in network.See attachment Attachment pic4.png (370 Downloads)
