Dear All, I have a project where I need to migrate S5 to S7 for a boiler's process PLC. The boiler is controlled through 9 DR22 controllers and 3 DR24 controllers. My PLC is connected to them via Profibus. I have the uploaded software (without symbols) so I try to understand it to program its equivalent in S7. I have attached the program with this post The question is: I'm stuck at understanding FC22, 23, 24 and 25 FC22'n name is DR22 FC23's name is DR22/2 FC22'n name is DR24 FC23's name is DR24/2 If anyone can tell me what do these function do I'll be very grateful.

Salam AMAZINGAHMED , some nice function blocks do you have. They are protected and seam to be part of a standard package, but not neccesary. In general they are for communicatingbetweenthe SIPART's andthe IM308C. I don't see that much use for you to understand them in detail, while in S7 you communicate different and easier. The most important for youto find out is which data is/must begetting transferred. Do you have any experiencein communicating between S7 and SIPART?
