The professional version ismore expensive, but brings a lot of benefits. It include the PLCSIM, what is a powerfull tool to simulate your programms with also simulated hardware. It include S7-Graph what is a powerfull sequence - system to build large and complex step - sequences. Also the "ProAgent" dignostic is supported. It include SCL what is a "high"-language, that remindof Delphi and Pascal. Nice for artithmetic functions, but a poor editor. So, if you want to be (or become) a professional Step7 programmer, you should choose S7professional.

The LIGHT Version is also only for S7-300 and NOT for S7-400, a lot (the most?) of FM + CP are not supportet. Please note, that also a Step 7 "Standard" version exist! (not light, not professional)

(not light, not professional) Hi, in addition with it, there is a no netpro, & also you will not configured the Remorte I/O like ET 200 S/M insort only used for the Small project of S7-300 PLC
