substitution for pre-0BA7 programming module

markheuer Posts: 158 Rating: (1)	Transferring programs from PC to LOGO via ethernet works great, however I often need to send a program to a customer, which has never been a problem using the programming module (chip) with the pre-0BA7 models. Has Siemens, or anyone else, come out with a remote (no pc or network available) device for putting a program on an 0BA7? I'm told the SD card is only good for data logging.

You can store and copy-protect a circuit program, with or without the data log of process data, from a LOGO! 0BA7 to an SD card, or copy a circuit program from the card to a LOGO! 0BA7. Note LOGO! 0BA7 only supports SD cards with a maximum memory capacity of 8 GB and a maximum data transfer speed of 48Mbits/s or 6MB/s (Class 6). Regards, Marcjan Attachment card.JPG (211 Downloads)

markheuer Posts: 158 Rating: (1)	Hi Marcjan, I'm able to copy the program from the LOGO to the SD card but not from PC->SDcard->LOGO...I tried saving out my .lld as a .lsc, no luck, then tried changing it (no save as option) to .bin, no luck

Helmut_13 Posts: 2930 Rating: (432)	Hi, in LSC open your program, then goto File/Save AS, then: Select "Binary dump (*.bin) as file type. The file name MUST be LOGO_U_P. Stor the file directly on the SD-Card, or send this file without changing file name to sombody, let him copy this file to a SD-card and then you can use this sd-card to program LOGO! 0BA7. markheuer Posts: 158 Rating: (1)	ok, cool...but now I'm getting 'Card unknown Press ESC'....this is the same card I've been datalogging with all day and writing and reading to/from no problem. I just got back from the store with a new 8G SD card, same thing. I can write to the card and allegedly read it back, but no luck on the .bin file from PC -> SD -> LOGO UPDATE interestingly enough, i tried putting the card in and cycling the power, and letting it read it on powerup and it seems to have read it. The transfer screen in the 'card' menu began working after I did the transfer with the power cycle. Any idea why it''s this way? This will work, but I'd like to understand.
