I have a 545-1101 CPU and I need to install a Seral-Ethernet Converter. I got the MOXA NPort 5150 wich has RS232/422/485 comm support. I have a Parker HMI connected to Serial Pot #1 (RS-232) that isworking good. So, I have the Serial Port #2 (RS-422) available for the MOXA Converter. I did Install and Tested Communucations beetwen NPort And CPU (Port #1) Via RS-232 cable and everything worked fine. But. I can't communucate withRS422 Cable (Pinout config According Nport & TI505 Manuals). I found that CPU -1102 has a different Pinout config. I am uploading a file wich has Pinouts of 1101 and 1102 CPUs. I tested both Pinout Config. Can Anyone help me with this. AttachmentCable Pinout 422 Nport.zip (894 Downloads) |

here is an attachment with the pinouts and dip switch settings from the 505 System Manual. Make sure the dipswitches are set correctly. You did not say what the distance was or if it was a noisy environment.
