BGreen Posts: 2 Rating: (1)	Hello! I have a customer who is retrofitting an existing drive system that has a TI555-1105 CPU and a third-party drive communicating over Profibus. They are looking to replace the third-party drive with a Sinamics S120 CU320 with 4 axes of servo motion. Does the TI555 CPU have the same 244 byte / PB node limit as the S7 CPUs?

Hello BGreen It most definetely does. The "limit" of 244 Bytes of cyclic I/O's per Profibus Slaveis a Profibus system "limit" and independent of the manufacturer. While 244 Bytes of cyclic I/O's per DP Slave areusually enough, you can get more data from a DP Slave via acyclic comms ifDPV1 is supported by the DP Master (don't know if the TI DP Master card supports DPV1) as well as the DP Slave (Sinamics are DPV1 capable).
