Hi, While the FAQ http://support.automation.siemens.com/BR/view/en/9061581 (and the correspondents FAQ 8250891 / 21927773) will be not actualized, I place here a compatibility table of these software with Windows.

Is it realy true, STEP 7 Basic V11 runs under WinXPHome but not under WinXPpro ? |

I searched the Internet and found that Step 7 Basic is for Home(XP and Windows 7) edition only Have a look System requirements |

Thank you Shar, So, let's clarify again. At least both couldn't be true.
For the "Basic version", I agree. But seems Step7 Professional 11 is working under XP SP3. best regards, Hristo Mihalev |

I think The Step 7 Professional software looks for Group Policy which is offered by Windows Professional and higher Editions Have a look at these Article Windows XP Windows 7 |
