The basis for the alarm count is the command GetActiveAlarms. If no alarms are present, the GetActiveAlarms function ejects an error code which you have to "catch" in the script. The following code was written with the help of Siemens Support and works fine for me. The whole thing is located in the task planner and is called every 100ms. const alarmFilter = ""; // Language Codes (first Parameter): DE = 1031; EN = 1033; Default = 127 HMIRuntime.Alarming.GetActiveAlarms(1031, alarmFilter).then( function(numAlarms){ // Write number to tag for amount of alarms Tags("Alarm_Count").Write(numAlarms.length); }).catch(function(errorCode){ Tags("Alarm_Count").Write(0); }); The number of messages is stored in the variable Alarm_Count and can now be further processed for a message indicator (If Alarm_Count != 0 -> Do things). This could create a high background load because it reads all active alarms 10 times a second. When there is no alarm active this might not be a problem but when 1000 alarms are active this might run you into trouble. Using the Alarm Trigger in the Task Scheduler for this specific purpose will probably not work because the notification with NotificationReason != "add" are filtered out here, but using a custom alarm subscription with HMIRuntime.Alarming.CreateSubscription() you will get them all and you can check the "NotificationReason" to identify the status changes for "add" and "remove" yourself. That way only changes need to be processed which causes much less system load. Michael
