TIP: STEP7 V12 SP1 - Fast search

One of the facilities of TIA Portal is the possibility to organize the program blocks in folders. This new feature can lead, on the other hand, there is some difficulty in finding the differences folders in which a block is.

In this context, one of the innovations of the SP1 for STEP7 V12 (Released for Delivery at http://support.automation.siemens.com/WW/view/de/76276623) is the possibility to search blocks quickly.

Now it is possible direct search for a name or number within a project and search of blocks and user defined data types. The search field has support of „auto-completion “within input field and could be active with keyboard shortcut ‘F7’.
