TP 1200 comfort can not boot and stuck at logo screen

Hello,

I am an intern electronics engineering (not graduated yet) and got the assignment of fixing the TP1200 comfort(it had been this way before I got it), as I thoroughly researched the way to fixing it such as via Prosave(it wasn't able to find boot HMI device via connecting  Ethernet) or USB recovery(which is work only basic panel), 

My guess is that it might be a problem with electronic hardware or else(with the current small knowledge that I had), so I open the back panel up to check a circuit that is a faulty and I found 3 ceramic capacitors below AMD processor and the other near LTC1628CG are shorted(you can found a picture in the attachment), I not sure it supposed to work this way or not and I don't have access to schematic either even I try to replace those, this is beyond my abilities pls I need help, I try to get any information that can get so I get it fixed and it might help many owners who found this situation.

From my previous experience with Comofort Panels, if it stucks at logo screen during boot and there is no connection with ProSave,i would say that 99% it's an internal error.

Unfortunately I couldn't say if is because a capacitor or another electronic stuff inside, so i would contact a Siemens repair center.

Hi guys, I would love to share my experience with you regarding Comfort TP1200 won't boot up and no display.

I had this HMI screen from a customer for repair reporting it's not booting up after power off the machine.

I tested the display in another HMI all working good.

The motherboard power ON and can see only a green LED and a Flashing Yellow LED next to it.

Tested all the passive components on tracker no sign of short circuits, No IC's are hot or any sign of damaged components. Spent whole day on testing the motherboard and tried to connect it with Prosave with all kind of communications but no luck.

Dismantled all the unit and left the motherboard disconnected for one week. The following week start testing all the SMD ceramic capacitors specially around the Processor with a multimeter on a diode for a short circuit or low resistance.

After I rebuild it and powered it up and then the magic happened, the HMI Boot up and start normally.

I remember this same situation happened with Desktop computer motherboard in the past, sometimes the processor can cause this. 

This won't say that all faulty HMI that won't boot can be cured the same way but it's an experience that I wanted to share with you.
