Transfer Problem with KTP1200

Shahien Posts: 25 Rating: (3)	Dear Experts, I have HMI Basic panel 2nd generation KTP1200 profinet . I had disabled disabled the auto transfer function from settings of the HMI. then, I had transferred asimple screen but without button which enable me to make manual transfer Now I can't make a factory reset or update operating system because there isn't any button enable me to make transfer. I'm using TIA Portal V13 SP1 and Simatic Pro Save v13.0.1.0 and when I try to communicate with other HMI(KTP1200) by Pro Save but with enable transfer .. I can update operating system that mean I'm using right connection parameters . I will be grateful if any expert can help me. Thanks.

(Or does Runtime start right away) Try to perform an OS update using Prosave, with the option "Reset to factory settings" enabled. When you start the OS update, you will have to boot the panel. Wizard Diamond Expert Joined: 4/24/2006 Last visit: 10/10/2024 Posts: 8745 Rating: (1168)	Hello Shahien, So when you want to perform an OS update with "Reset to factory settings" selected, you will have to fill in the MAC Address of the panel. Start OS update and Boot the panel. Then Prosave will search for MAC Address. (It could be a problem is your PC is not allowed to search for MAC Address, sometimes a virusscanner or firewall will block this) Best regards, Wizard

Shahien Posts: 25 Rating: (3)	Dear wizard, This is the reply of siemens technical support Dear Mr Shahien, it is not possible to do a reset to factory settings of a KTP1200 Basic Panel 2nd Generation. If you have disabled the auto transfer function from settings of the HMI, set the autostart runtime wait time to 0 sec and transfered a project without a stop runtime function it is not possible to transfer anything to the device. In this case you only can send the device to the repair center and replace the device. If you haven't set the autostart runtime wait time to 0 sec you only can try to get into the start center if you power on the ktp1200. If you have further questions don't hesitate to contact me again.
