trying to read in from the Analog outputs of a Micromaster 420

CJ1976 Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	HI all I too have a strange problem with a 6ES7-331-7KF01-OABO card. I am trying to read in from the Analog outputs of a Micromaster 420 to monitor the frequency the drive is running at. I have wired it terminal 2 sm331 card to term 12 of micromaster and terminal 3 sm331 card to term 13 of micromaster but this just gives a fixde value and does not change in line with a frequency change. I have monitored the micromaster output using a multimeter and i am getting a change in line with the frequency. Any help would be very helpfull

Any help would be very helpfull Hello CJ1976, The Micromaster 420 have a analog output of 0-20mA are you sure your AI 300 is in current mode?

Hello CJ1976, The position B of the card means that accepts values in voltage (2,5 / 5 / 1..5 / 10V) then or you put in parallel a 500 Ohm resistor on analog output of the Micromaster orin inputof the analog board and change in Hardware to 0..10V or put the module in position D without resistor and try Have a look figure 4-2 on page 4-6 S7-300 SM331; AI 8 x 12 Bit Getting Started part 3 ... - Siemens

Glen 33 Posts: 5 Rating: (0)	ok verify if U are getiing the signal from the drive. I think the signal will be 0-20 mA butU can modify this. You can set the analog output that U want to output by specifying this in the motor parameters P0771 = r0xx. The xx represents the number specified by the drive what you are sending to the analog output. Once U have the output verified then just make sure U are taking it into the right module. Obviously U can modify the 0-20 mA sugnal with a resistor to give volts. Scaling is up to U since U will know this.
