Using variable table to force velues....

Bhelekhulu Posts: 28 Rating: (0)	Hi Everyone, I am trying to use the Variable table to force values, but I am getting a massage saying "Forece value not possible in this module". I changed to all types of CPU modules (on S7 300 and 400) that i can in my my hardwere config, but still getting the same massage. I am using PLCSIM to simulate the connection to CPU. Im not sure if this is the course of the problem or some thing else. Someone please test on his/her PG to see if getting the same massage... Please help.....

Hello, Force is not suppored for PLCSIM, use a real hardware.You can find more information in the related manual. Best regards, Hamid Hosseini

Hello, Force function is made to change the physicalstatus of inputs (for instance) and let the CPU execute the program with this forced input. For example, if you forced a DI to be high, while this DI is physically low, the CPU will execute the program as if this DI is high. Force orange led of the CPU will lit when you force any variable. The "Forcing" function can be used to preset individual tags in a user program with fixed values which cannot be changed from within the user program either. This is useful during commissioning, for example, if inputs and outputs are not connected. Fixed values can be preset for inputs via "Forcing" and read in via "L PEW x". The address of the input which is being forced has to be assigned to a module, such as AI, which has to be configured in HW Config. If "Forcing" is applied to address x of a module which is not present in HW Config, the command "L PEW x" delivers the value "0". If you are working offline, you do no need force table. All what you need to simulate your program is to open Input windows in the PLCSIM and check mark the inputs you would like to simulate On. All necessary info can be found in this manual:S7-PLCSIM And please read these important FAQs. Which components are not supported by S7-PLCSIM V5.4 SP4? How can you use the "Record/Playback" function in S7-PLCSIM to record a sequence of events? Hope this helps.

VVago Posts: 784 Rating: (52)	Hello, 1-Force value not possible in PLC SIM. 2-In S7-300; you can force I and Q only . 3-In S7-400:you can force I,Q,PIW and PQW. 4- The force action continue untill remove it. Best regards..........
