Using Winsock in VBscript

It is advisable not to useWinsock ActiveX from within WinCC. Any data communication hangups will cause the whole WinCC application to hangup too and you may have to shutdown the system. Best way to do it is to create a small application in Java or some othercompiler and run it in thebackground. You can use the WinCC database to store the data and access this using VBscripts in the database.

I guess itwill take quite a lot of time to show how Winsock is used. So best would be for you to look in the internet for an example of using Winsock in VBscript or VB programming to see how it is used. There are many such sample programs available.

In my WinCC application I need sort of VB action acting as Server waiting for a Client connection and once communication is established, my application will send some data to the Client.

Is something like this possible to achieve using Winsock in VBscript?
