Good evening. I have two V90 drives that are mechanically coupled to move a gantry. Both motors are identical and have absolute encoders. I have a S7-1500 CPU1512C and I would like to move both axis simoultaneously using TO object and MC GearIn instructions. Due to the fact that they're mechanically coupled, I would like to add load sharing to them. I've read this article: https://support.industry.siemens.com/cs/document/109794290/ but I don't understand if I can use those functions with TO objects. I've already manage to move both axes with Telegram 3 and IRT with generic GSDML file for V90. Anyone has a suggestion on how to do all this? |

If it is possible to get them to act as coordinated axes with a regular S7-1500 PLC, you will definitely want to look into PN IRT and ISOchronous mode: Isochronous mode (siemens.com) That PDF includes a link for parameters affecting ISO performance at the end of the document.

When you say "coordinated axes" you mean "TO Synchronous" axes? If I use SIEMENS Telegram 102 (IRT) and MC instruction GearIn, would it be possible without upgrading the CPU to a T model?
