V90 -pn Epos Stopping Issue

Hello,

I am using TIA15.1 for plc programming and V assistant for parameter setting for V90-PN drive, i have used sina-pos function block for positioning of axis.

in my pick and place application i used EPOS mode , the Position and functionality wise drive and motor are responding accurately.

Problem: if movement is in high speed(200mm/Sec) and there is an emergency and i need to stop movement immediately i have disabled motor drive but even after disabling the drive movement still continue and it stops after reaching dead end (Mechanical stopper). means even disabling the drive movement still happens it leads to unsafe movement.

Intermediate stop functionality working even in High speed movement. but in that case the remaining position achieved after getting enable intermediate stop.

Please guide how to resolve this?

Hi,

if you want to achieve a safe status on V90 you have to rely on STO inputs on V90. Make sure the motors runs at 0 speed first and then cut STO contacts. In anycase, after a time, even if motor has not stopped, cut STO. No Profisafe on V90, so only STO contact solution.
