VB.NET S7PROSIM COM component and PLCSIM v5.4

AlexSen Experienced Member Joined: 12/29/2011 Last visit: 11/7/2024 Posts: 20 Rating: (0)	I use S7ProSim COM components and VB.NET to communicate with PlcSim version 5.4. The problem is that reading / writing of the peripheral output / input (eg, "ReadOutputPoint ') does not work. In the manual is not enough information. Function Read/WriteFlagValue works ok. Anybody an idea?

It is possible that you have to make an update or an upgrade with one of your software components. With best regards Cicero

All functions such as: Connect Disconnect WriteInputPoint WriteInputImage ReadFlagValue WriteFlagValue ReadDataBlockValue WriteDataBlockValue work well, except ReadOutputPoint But with previous versions (up to 5.3) with OCX component was not a problem. Thank you!

zy015240 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	The problam is when you "Connect" to S7ProSim, the ScanMode of PLCSIM is automatic set to OnlyOnce, so if you ReadOutputPoint, the P image not refresh. you can change it by switch to ContinueMode by manual or by program, it will ok.

hesamakbari Posts: 16 Rating: (0)	Hi, I am using PLCSIM v5.4 SP5, and also tested SP4. I want to write a very simple app in vb6(Excell) to connect and write a boolean in an address in plc sim. The method Connect does not work and neither the other methods!! The only method that works is StartPLCSim!!!! for the other methods the eventConnectionError rises. But I definitely use Connect method! What are steps to write the code via this COM object? Thanks

zy015240 Posts: 12 Rating: (0)	You can see error code from ConnectionError, find out the reason(See manual for explain error code). You can upload a screen picture of error. I'm not know about VBA or VB. I use Object Pascal. All method is ok in my program.
