I don't think that it will be less with SP1 that is coming soon. It is now even fast with the software I have installed. The question about the CP5611 is send to Siemens, they have already picked up the question and asked some extra information. I quess that I got a answer on Thursday next week. I have seen that LOGO! is also given free under Windows VISTA, I don't know if I going to test that one....

Late Platinum Member Joined: 1/7/2006 Last visit: 3/9/2025 Posts: 2705 Rating: (321)	Hi, I have forgotten to place the answer on the page regarding the CP5611, I have reinstalled S7 and then it works fine, the hotline couldn't find anything what was wrong, there is a new place where all the logfiles are placed when STEP7 is installing everything.

I hope that STEP5 will be working also under Vista, there is a lot of equipment in the world that is still working with STEP5. For WinCC Flexible the next version will work with Vista.

But I will ask it to Siemens for more information on pushing it, so that it will work under VISTA, wenn I look into all customers that don't migrated yet it is very important that it works under VISTA. I also have seen that there is a Servicepack SP1 for Vista, so now is the time to start with VISTA.

And not yet with SP1 since that's brand new. A very interesting link about this is: Are there lists for the compatibility of Microsoft operating systems and SIEMENS Software products?
